Our birthdays are almost back to back — mid-April and early-May — and that has meant a lot of celebrating… and a lot of eating and drinking. We have had incredible meals out and some delicious accompanying cocktails.
A few notable ingredients to our current state of drinking:
1) We’ve been trying to develop our appreciation for whiskey — at least so that we can tell the difference between better and worse ones.
2) We’ve been noticing a lot of drinks that use ginger liqueur.
3) Z got some things to expand the bar back home for his birthday.
The drink below combines the birthday presents, the ginger liqueur, and our recent interest in whiskey into the cocktail below.
Ginger and Whiskey Cocktail
1.5 oz whiskey
.75 oz ginger liqueur
1 oz gin
.5 oz Jägermeister
.5 oz lemon
